Job Title: Sales And Marketing Executive

Department: Sales And Marketing

Reports directly to: Head Sales & Marketing, Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer

Purpose

To prospect for new businesses and achieve set premium and commission targets defined monthly, quarterly and annual as set by management, as well as acting as a key account manager on various accounts to be managed for e ective brokerage services.

General duties

• Prospect for new clients; B2B sales

• Prepare technical audits for new client acquisitions

• Keep abreast with client development, mergers and acquisitions to identify new business and product opportunities.

• Ensure timely and quality client servicing

• Confer team and recommend appropriate strategies in ensuring an effective and efficient brokerage service

• Achieving monthly targets through prospects of new business acquisition, growing of existing businesses through cross selling

• Work hand in hand with the head, sales and marketing to solicit for information for external agencies like Insurance companies and competitor brokers

• Work with other team members to increase market share, maintain the company’s brand image, customer service and retention of all accounts

• Seek quotation from various insurers with respect to the risk exposure of prospective clients in line with company laid down procedure on seeking quotes

• Help formulate e ective strategies within the depart- ment to help achieve set targets

• Collect insurance premiums before policies are incepted/effected or renewed

• Liaise with all other departments to ensure no claims are left unattended

• Ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are submitted to supervisors as promptly required

Qualifications and required experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Insurance, Marketing or related field

• Diploma in Insurance or Chartered Insurance Professional will be an added advantage

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a business development role

Technical competencies

• Knowledge in Insurance Law & Underwriting practices

• Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• Knowledge in Customer service

• Ability to plan, coordinate and follow activities

• Ability to identify and evaluate alternative solution to problems

• Ability to take timely decisions

• Ability to establish objective, targets and goals

• Ability to identify and evaluate alternative solutions to problems
