As part of the Chedid Capital group, which specializes in reinsurance since its acquisition in 2021, ASCOMA has become one of the major players in the insurance sector in all countries where the group operates. It remains the market leader in this field today.

As part of the development of its business and portfolio management, we are looking for a Development Manager (M/F) at Ascoma Ghana, based in Accra.

Your main responsibilities will include contributing to the implementation of the subsidiary’s commercial policy through business development and customer portfolio saturation in order to help achieve the assigned objectives.

As part of the Sales department, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Acquire new Corporate Clients to meet set commission income target
• Identify and engage prospective clients for insurance brokerage services
• Review clients’ portfolio regularly and recommend solutions that meet evolving insurance needs
• Drive customer service excellence amongst all customers and partners to ensure great customer experience
• Increase saturation of existing customers
• Manage negotiations with insurance companies and other partners to optimise the offers proposed
• Manage relationships with key business stakeholders
• Collaborate with other functions within the business to resolve customer service issues
• Conduct presentations to prospective and existing clients

Required profile:

• Knowledge of insurance products (property and casualty, health, and life insurance);
• Proficiency in negotiation and sales techniques;
• Ability to analyze needs and propose appropriate solutions;
• Knowledge of the CIMA code;
• Knowledge of commercial management;
• Good ability to satisfy and retain customers;
• Proficiency in prospecting techniques and direct relations with corporate and individual customers;
• Ability to represent the company at events, professional meetings, and in business networks;
• Good use of office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Insurance, Banking and Insurance, Insurance Law
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance sector
