It remains the market leader in this field today. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the supervision of the Group Legal Director and the General Manager of Gabon, we are seeking a <strong>Legal Counsel<\/strong> (M\/F) on a permanent contract.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The legal counsel will be involved in all matters handled by the Legal Department (Corporate, litigation, contracts, industrial property), ensuring regulatory compliance to secure legal operations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Managing current matters of the Legal Department<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Drafting, monitoring, managing, and updating contracts of all types for the Group, in French and English<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Maintaining corporate secretarial duties for the Group&#8217;s French-speaking and English-speaking subsidiaries (preparation of general meetings and board meetings)<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Drafting legal documents using LEXIS POLY software<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Updating data in LEXIS POLY software<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Preparing and updating legal document matrices for the Legal Department<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Preparing or supervising legal formalities for Ascoma Group companies<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Participating in restructuring operations<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Reviewing and updating mandatory company registers<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Monitoring compliance with professional regulatory provisions applicable to Ascoma Group companies<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Legal monitoring in the various countries where the Ascoma Group operates (commercial law, insurance law)<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Monitoring and updating subsidiary files and more generally Legal Department files<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Managing alerts for end of mandates, end of contracts, various renewals<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Monitoring compliance with regulatory obligations of subsidiaries holding professional licenses<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Monitoring litigation and pre-litigation matters for Ascoma Group companies and monthly reporting<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Participating in Corporate projects<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Conducting legal studies<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Performing administrative and secretarial tasks for the Legal Department<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Filing and archiving physical and electronic files<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>And generally, participating in all missions and activities of the Legal Department<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The position holder may be required to perform other duties based on company needs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Education and Experience<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in private law (Corporate\/Commercial)<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Initial experience (5 to 10 years) in a similar position, ideally in a law firm and in a corporate group<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Perfect command of professional English<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Perfect command of office tools and Microsoft Office suite (Word \u2013 Excel \u2013 PowerPoint \u2013 MS Forms \u2013 SharePoint)<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Ideally proficient in LEXIS POLY legal software<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Main required skills:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Rigor and reliability in processing and monitoring files<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Legal document drafting skills<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Organizational skills and priority management<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Results-oriented culture with respect for deadlines and set objectives<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Discretion and confidentiality in handling Legal Department files<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Discretion and confidentiality in managing personal data and sensitive information<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Ability to analyze legal risks<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Synthesis skills<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Professional ethics and compliance with Group procedures<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Proactivity<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ascoma Group specializes in insurance brokerage.
